about our events

My first personal development event and I loved it!

I was on holiday in Byron when my friend nudged me to attend Monika’s workshop about the nervous system. I can’t believe I didn’t know this sooner. What I learned in 3 hours helped me understand myself more than a year in counselling. I highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from anxiety or overthinking.

We should learn this stuff at school, it’s a game-changer!

I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The information and tools given were practical and really helpful! The other women were on the same wavelength and there was no pressure to share if I didn’t want to. I felt at ease and actually made a couple of new friends there. It was fun, yet insightful and I had lots of breakthroughs on how to manage my anxiety. Great guided sessions with lots of practical tools that I have taken away from this event. Will come again for next one!

Looking at my depression in a new light, left feeling motivated and uplifted

I’d been struggling with overwhelm but didn’t want to rely on medication. My sister recommended this workshop, and I almost didn’t go—I thought it would be a waste of time. I only booked it at the last minute, and I’m so glad I did. The parts mapping and nervous system work helped me understand myself in a completely new way—something I’d never come across before. It all just clicked. I walked away feeling hopeful, motivated and empowered for the first time in a long while. Thank you.

FAQ

Everything You Need to Know Before Booking

1 . I’ve never done anything like this before. Is this workshop suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. You are welcome exactly as you are. No prior experience with somatic work, therapy, or retreats is needed. Every practice is guided with gentleness, clarity, and care. You’ll be held in a safe, non-judgmental space where everything is an invitation, never an expectation. Go at your own pace.

2. What if I get emotional or feel overwhelmed during the experience?

This is a space where all of you is welcome. Emotions are a natural part of healing and growth. You will be lovingly guided through every step, and I will offer grounding tools and gentle support if anything feels too intense. You will never be left alone in your experience—we’re here to move at the pace of safety.

My approach is deeply trauma-informed, integrating over 15 years of expertise in somatic psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, EMDR, IFS, and spiritual healing. I hold each participant with attuned presence, clear boundaries, and deep respect for your nervous system. You will never be pushed, forced, or bypassed. Your autonomy and choice are at the center of everything.

3. How is trauma-informed care woven into the workshop?

4. Will I have to share personal things with the group?

You are never required to share anything you don’t want to. There are opportunities to connect in small groups or with partners, but you’ll always be guided to check in with your body first and honor your comfort level. Silence is sacred too.

5. What kind of practices will we do?

You can expect a blend of somatic movement, guided embodiment practices, breathwork, inner parts dialogue (IFS), gentle nervous system regulation techniques, partner practices, reflective journaling, and deeply restorative integration. Every practice is optional and designed to reconnect you with your body, intuition, and Self.

6. I have anxiety and often feel disconnected from my body. Is this still for me?

Yes. In fact, this work is especially powerful for people who experience anxiety, dissociation, or disconnection from their body. We move slowly, with reverence, and use trauma-sensitive practices that help your nervous system feel safe again. You’ll be supported with compassion and zero judgment.

7. Will I be safe emotionally and energetically during the retreat?

Safety is the foundation of everything I offer. I create clear energetic, emotional, and physical boundaries, and I personally hold the space with deep care and presence. Nothing is ever forced or rushed. You will be witnessed, respected, and held in a sacred container of unconditional regard.

8. What makes your approach different from other healing spaces?

My work blends clinical expertise (somatic psychotherapy, trauma therapy, IFS, EMDR) with intuitive, sacred feminine wisdom and deep embodiment. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about remembering your wholeness. I bring fierce love, sacred presence, and over a decade of lived experience guiding women home to themselves.

9. What if I’m going through something hard in my life right now?

You are not too much. Your heartbreak, transitions, grief, or uncertainty are all welcome here. This space was made for the woman who is in the midst of becoming. You do not need to be “healed” to attend—you simply need to be willing to be supported.

10. Will I be supported after the retreat ends?

Yes. Integration is just as important as the experience itself. I will provide you with grounding practices, journal prompts, and optional ways to continue your journey after the retreat. You won’t leave feeling unheld.
